Space, DASP Yearbook
EDITORIAL, GRAPHIC
[+] INFO
MN_02
Space, the first yearbook of researches by DASP students (PhD in Architecture). History and Project of Turin Polytechnic. Despite the world going in the opposite direction, taking the right amount of time to leaf through a book continues to be our favorite way to read. So we created Space. An open, informal publication. An ideal space for PhD students to introduce themselves. An astral space that hosts the constellations of the PhD. A physical Space, like the research itself. In its aesthetics, the publication is inspired by the Italian 60s literary series like the Piccola biblioteca Einaudi, a pocket essay collection, and URANIA, the science fiction series by Arnoldo Mondadori. The aesthetic research of old star maps is used to create an astronomical system that is based on the students' real interactions in information design. A fun packaging, a metallic shipping envelope, turns the publication into a survival kit for astronauts seeking to explore DASP space.
